How I went:

I took a bus at 6 am to thiruvotriyur. Got down at theradi. The godess is better known than siva. Ask for Vadivudaiamman. There is a dakshinamoorthy(guru) temple (call ph 044 25727951, 9841711001 for quries on temple it is not temple no) before going into the temple on the left. Did archana to him. The temple is fantastic. Thre is patinathar’s Samadhi here. He is a very great saint who has sung praises of Siva.

From there I took a bus to Thiruverkadu. This place is famous for two temples. One is Siva temple and the other is Mariamman temple.(open through out the day also better to enquire in the ph no given below so that you can see this temple between `1 and 3 pm when other temples are closed) First I went to Siva temple about 1 km away from mariamman temple offered my prayers then went to the older mariamman temple called aadhi(first) mariamman temple very near it. Then I visited tiruverkadu mariamman temple. Ph no is 044-26800430, 26800487.

Came to koyambedu bus stand and took a bus to tirumulaivayil temple.. Reached there by 4.30. Offered prayers.

Then on the way visited padi tiruvalithayam temple. Here too there is temple for dakshinamoorthy(guru). Ph no 044- 26540706

From here took a bus to tiruvanmiyur siva temple and from there to mylapore luz where I prayed to kabaleeswarar and returned home. Kapaleeswarar temple Ph No is 24641670 I have earlier gone similarly in scooter and car. You can cover all in a day. Take care to avoid being in temple between 1 pm and 4 pm in any other siva temple except tiruverkadu as they may be closed)
