How I went:
I traveled to Thanjavur by train and then took a bus to tiruvarur from there to sikkal by another bus. The bus will drop you very near the temple. Please keep the bus conductor informed. All bus to nagapattinam from tiruvarur or thanjavur will pass through this place
You can also take a train direct from Chennai whose details are given below It will reach thanjavur at 6.15 am. Then you can take a bus.
